Tim Goudriaan is a Trainer and Subject Matter Expert on the Arab-Israeli conflict, mass media and international security.
Tim more broadly specializes in the various ways that elites use propaganda and media to instigate mass violence and gain electoral support. As such, he focuses on political mobilization; war propaganda; journalism; nationalism; and terrorism.
Tim holds a BA in Political History and International Relations from Utrecht University, with a minor in Conflict Studies and courses from the International Asian Studies Programme at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He also holds an LL.M. in Law and Politics of International Security from the Free University of Amsterdam. Tim runs a company that assists students in writing their dissertations and provides workshops on research methodologies and academic writing, and occasionally works as a freelance journalist. He is also the current Vice-President of ASEFUAN: a Brussels-based NGO that aims to strengthen ties between Europe and Asia. Prior to his involvement with Pax Ludens, Tim worked for the United Nations and the Dutch government.
